- How do I book a training lesson?
Select a course on our Calendly booking page or contact AlphaTrack Academy for help choosing the right private session.
- What is the cancellation, refund, or rescheduling policy?
All payments are final and non-refundable, except when AlphaTrack Academy cancels an appointment. If we cancel, you may choose either a full refund or reschedule at no additional charge. One reschedule is permitted per appointment. Requests received at least 72 hours before the scheduled start time may be rescheduled at no additional charge. Requests received less than 72 hours before the scheduled start time require an additional $100 short-notice rescheduling fee per appointment, payable before a new date can be confirmed. This fee helps cover non-refundable range reservation and scheduling costs. No-shows and failure to attend a rescheduled appointment result in forfeiture of all payments and are not eligible for a refund or further rescheduling. By booking, you acknowledge and agree to AlphaTrack Academy’s cancellation and rescheduling policy.
- What happens if the instructor cancels?
You may choose either a full refund or reschedule at no additional charge.
- What happens if the range closes or conditions are unsafe?
If the range closes, air quality is unsafe, extreme heat creates a safety concern, or government restrictions prevent the session, the appointment will be rescheduled.
- What if I arrive late?
Arriving 30 minutes or more after the scheduled start time is treated as a no-show. Arriving late does not extend the scheduled session.
- Can I transfer my appointment to another person?
No. Appointments are reserved for the registered participant and cannot be transferred.
- What happens if a participant fails the safety check or appears impaired?
AlphaTrack Academy may refuse to begin or continue any course or activity if a participant fails the safety check or appears to be under the influence of alcohol, medication, or other substances that could impair safe participation.
- Who decides whether a session must end because of a safety violation?
The instructor or range safety officer makes the final safety determination. A session ended for a serious safety violation is not eligible for a refund.
- Do I need to own or bring a firearm?
Premium experience packages include the listed firearms and ammunition. New-owner training is designed for participants who already own a firearm, although a training firearm may be available for an additional fee. Advanced-training students should discuss their equipment and experience during the initial assessment. Review the selected course description for exact inclusions and optional equipment fees.
- Where are your training locations?
We operate in the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily in Richmond. Exact session details are provided during or after booking, depending on the selected course.
- Do you offer CCW classes?
We do not currently provide CCW certification courses.
- How does Advanced Pistol Training begin?
Every new advanced-training student begins with a personal consultation and skills assessment. We review the student’s experience, safety habits, goals, and current needs, then recommend an appropriate starting point. Future training is adjusted according to demonstrated progress, readiness, and evolving goals.
- How much does training cost?
Each course page lists the current session price and duration. Range fees are separate unless a course description specifically says otherwise. Optional training firearms are $75, and standard ammunition is available for $35 per box, subject to caliber availability.
- What is the policy for inclement weather?
Training may continue in ordinary weather when range conditions remain safe. Extreme heat, unsafe air quality, range closure, or other dangerous conditions will result in rescheduling.
- What is a Shooting Experience Event?
A Shooting Experience Event is a private, instructor-supervised session for participants who want to experience selected premium firearms in a controlled, safety-first environment. No prior shooting experience is required.
- What are Training Sessions?
Training sessions are structured, skill-based programs for firearm owners who want to improve technique, reinforce safe handling habits, and progress through purposeful, individualized coaching.
